Sunburst supports green design, products, and buildings. We aim for reusing any and all materials whenever possible. We recycle water that cools down parts as they’re finished in the ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter fragments – or regrind them and recycle them into new shutters. Each year we recycle hundreds of tons of materials.

When we prepare our window treatments for transportation to your house for installation, we put reusable corner pieces on the sides of the louvers and use as little cardboard as possible to package the shutters.

Our plantation shutters are coated with paints and finishes that are shown to be hypoallergenic and environmentally safe. In our manufacturing process, our paints don’t emit fumes. When we claim our paints aren’t toxic, we mean it.
